A Spark of Light

Dark symbolizes all that is negative, evil and fearful. However, in this painting, I debunked this claim. Typically, we are conditioned to view our “negative” states such as anger, fear, or depression as being bad and undesirable. Negative states are catalysts for our evolution. Sad states allow our hearts to break open ever more deeply. This allows it to have room for a deeper love and appreciation for the world of light. Here, I gave  equal importance and prominence to darkness and light, considering that all lives, including human lives, begin and develop in the dark. However, my exclusively “A Tale of Light and Dark” paintings, mostly abstracts, emphasize the genius of light over dark.
